Spike runs back to town leaving the soldiers way out there. Naruto stopps and looks around. He runs back to his apartment and see's Hawkeye "What do you want with me" Naruto asked.

"he was only follownig orders when he attacked your fox, you knew something we didn't want you to know so we sent mustang in to modify your memory," the fuhrer said
